One drunk night Sobran Jodeau, 18 years old and madly in love with Celeste, stumbles into an angel. The angel Xas promises to return on the same day one year later to toast to Sobran's marriage.

I read The Vintner’s Luck last December during my Christmas break and I got completely absorbed by this beautiful novel. The story, which takes place in the French countryside among the vineyards, spans the life of Sobran Jodeau, son of a vintner. From the night Sobran first (quite literally) stumbles into Xas, they meet time and time again and their relationship develops into one of love.

This is probably one of the most perfect, finished novels I have ever read. The character development in this novel is amazing, even for side characters. Not to mention the ambiance of French summers, vineyards and wine making. This novel covers every aspect of life, setbacks as well as successes, without ever hitting clichΓ©s.

I received this book in a giveaway hosted by a blogger who loves the book dearly. After reading the book I feel exactly the same. I have come to adore this book and I want to pass it on…

So I have decided to give away one copy of The Vintner’s Luck!

    1. Ooooh, angels ay? Sounds like an absolutely heavenly book! Ahhahaha, see what I did there? πŸ˜‰ Honestly though, this one has to be added to my mile and growing list of LGBT+ books I have to read. And a giveaway too? You’re just too generous! Oh and do you mind if I change your blog name to Brilliant Years? I have this weird thing where I can’t live without things being capitalized. If you prefer it that way, let me know and I’ll change it back!

Haha go ahead. I’m just like you, can’t stand it when things aren’t capitalized… So please don’t ask me why I consciously decided not to capitalize my blog’s name hahaha

Many thanks to you and Cayce for hosting the LGBT Month πŸ™‚

    2. I’ve read David Levithan and John Green’s Will Grayson, Will Grayson and I find it great. On the other hand, you can also watch Easy A where Olive (played by Emma Stones) helps a gay friend. It’s a really nice movie πŸ™‚
